PORAC Institute: Advanced Collective Bargaining

Increase your negotiating skills as it relates to a Memorandum of Understanding including filing grievances when the MoU is not followed, dealing with issues outside of the MoU process, and developing a bargaining agreement in regards to monetary and no cost items that meet the needs of members and the city/county.

PORAC Institute: Basic Collective Bargaining

Examine laws related to collective bargaining including Meyers-Milias-Brown, analysis of positional and hard/soft bargaining vs. interest-based bargaining, how to prepare for negotiations, basic contract costing, and defining what is good faith bargaining.

Line of Duty Death Class

Learn how to plan a LEO Memorial, including making a notification, utilizing resources, benefits and support organizations. Gain insight on how to take care of yourself and the Department, while maintaining continued support and involvement with the family.
