PORAC Institute – Advanced Collective Bargaining

Advanced Collective Bargaining – PORAC HQ

Two-day class – 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

A brief review of the basic course will precede a comprehensive program designed to go beyond the negotiation of an MOU. Attendees will also learn to file grievances when the MOU is not followed, as well as how to deal with the issues that occur outside the MOU process. Less theory and more hands-on negotiating will be the focus of this course. Participants will progress through a series of increasingly difficult training exercises developed to progressively increase their negotiation skills. Attendees will learn to deal with monetary and no-cost items resulting in a bargaining agreement that addresses the needs of the members and the city/county. This is an intensive and demanding course.
