Financial Wellness

A 4-hour interactive course demonstrates how it’s critical to have a clear mind while on the job. Financial stress can have a severe impact on law enforcement personnel’s decision-making ability. The average American now has over $38,000 in personal debt, excluding mortgages. Managing troubled finances can cause physical health issues, insomnia, absences from work, depression and put a strain on personal and family relationships. It clouds judgement, forces exhaustion from too much overtime and creates mental fatigue. During this instruction, students will learn the importance of being financially healthy and how it affects their ability to perform their job duties. We will give you tools to determine your overall financial health. We will break down the five factors that make up your credit score, review actual credit reports and teach officers how to read their own credit report. The examples shown will confidentially show what law enforcement personnel go through and solutions to address these issues.

Who should attend?
All Law Enforcement who would like to better their financial futures, those who need help in how to manage their money to make it to retirement, and officers who need assistance is recovering from financial challenges to get back on track.

Street Survival

Today’s Street Survival® Seminar addresses law enforcement as the multi-faceted profession it has become. Rather than limiting our focus to just surviving deadly threats, we also discuss the need to prepare officers for making sound, legal and reasonable decisions under stress in order to preserve the lives of citizens as well as their own.

The foundation of this program is understanding and training realistically for stress events. From driving too fast and using unwarranted amounts of force to ineffective communication and the inability to decompress off-duty, the seminar emphasizes the need to understand and manage stress as the key to professional and personal success.

Finally, the Seminar emphasizes the need to understand people and communicate effectively as they embrace the role of civilian peace officers.

The Seminar topics will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Officer Safety: Knowing “The Fatal Four”
  • The Science of Force & Stress: The Latest Research
  • Roadway Dangers & Responsibilities: Why are Cops Still Dying on Roadways?
  • Attack Signals: What to Look For
  • When Things Go Sideways: Gaining Verbal, Physical and Psychological Control
  • Approach Tactics: People, Vehicles & Buildings
  • Tactics for Criminal Patrol: Don’t Miss the Signs
  • Policing in a Post George Floyd Era

The training is presented over three days and includes 21 hours of class time.  “Traumas of Law Enforcement” has been said to be “the best training I have taken in my entire law enforcement career” by many who have attended.
