On March 13th, Detective Armando “Mando” Santa Anna of the El Monte Police Department suffered a medical emergency while in recovery from a planned surgery. This procedure stemmed from an on-duty injury. Despite life saving efforts, Detective Santa Anna tragically passed away on March 15th.
