COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The annual salary is up to $199,014, depending on qualifications; pending board approval, salary is recommended to move from range 21 to range 23. Employment is contract based and includes a “without cause” severance provision.
SBCCD offers excellent benefits which includes the following:
Retirement:
Classic Membership: CalPERS member prior to 1/1/13 Retirement Formula: 2.7% at age 57 w/ 1-year final compensation
• Employee Contribution %: 15% of base pay
PEPRA Membership: CalPERS member on or after 1/1/13 Retirement Formula: 2.7% at age 57 w/ 3-year final compensation
• Employee Contribution %: 14.50% of base pay

Annual Leave Accrual:
Vacation: 2 days accrued for every month worked
Sick: 96 hours every fiscal year
Holidays: 17 holidays
TO BE CONSIDERED
Typical background and experience include
Ten (10) years of full-time employment as a peace officer; of which five (5) years shall be commensurate with a position at the senior level in the California POST-approved police department.
