Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in police science, public administration or a closely related field. Ten years of increasingly responsible professional experience in the field of law enforcement, including at least five years experience in an administrative or managerial capacity, is required. Applicants must also possess a Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Management Certificate.
