73rd Annual PORAC Conference of Members
A total of 715 delegates representing 177 associations made their way to San Diego, braving unseasonably stormy fall weather to attend the 73rd annual PORAC Conference of Members November 20–22 at the Sheraton Resort. Members cast their ballots in contested elections for president and vice president, voted on bylaw amendments, received updates from PORAC’s trusts and partners, took part in an SB 2 training session, met with sponsors, toured 60 vendor booths at the exhibitor expo and connected with fellow peace officers from across the state. PORAC Director Profile: Daniel Dickson
Daniel Dickson of the Santa Clara County Correctional Peace Officers Association was among the new directors-at-large sworn in at PORAC’s Board of Directors meeting in August. Since taking on the role, he has been driven by his commitment to public safety, drawing on nearly a decade of experience to bring unique perspectives and solutions to the critical issues affecting law enforcement.
