The UCLA Police Department is a leader in providing 21st Century law enforcement services to our campus and surrounding community. We do this through patrol, rapid response to calls for service, investigations, education and implementation of preventative strategies. Our work, grounded in a community policing philosophy, utilizes campus partnerships as the most effective approach to creating and maintaining a safe campus.

Position Summary
UCLA is conducting a national search for its next Chief of Police, offering a unique opportunity to lead public safety and policing at the nation’s #1 public university. Serving a dynamic and diverse campus community of 90,000 students, faculty, and staff, the Chief will provide strategic leadership in patrol operations, emergency response, investigations, and safety education initiatives.
