The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency composed of 39 sworn peace officers/21 professional civilian staff who provide police services to the Town of Los Gatos and to the City of Monte Sereno (3,500 population).

The Captain is responsible for overseeing one of the department’s two bureaus, Operations and Support Services, and is expected to be up-to-date on current department methods/procedures as well as emerging best practices in the law enforcement profession.

Three (3) years of experience with a municipal or county law enforcement agency at the rank of lieutenant or above.  The annual salary range is $166,847 to $225,224 DOQE.
