Lateral Police Officers are also eligible to receive a cash bonus of $25,000 with first payment of $15,000 paid on the THIRD paycheck. Once hired, Lateral Officers accrue vacation time and receive longevity pay based on their total years of service. Recruits and Academy Graduate Officers are eligible for a $5,000 cash bonus.
