Communication Operator

The California Department of Parks and Recreation is now accepting applications for Communication Operator (Emergency Dispatcher) 

Be a guardian for the largest state park system in the nation! Communications Operators are emergency dispatchers who are a vital link in the fast-paced communications network of California State Parks – providing consistency, direction, and knowledge to the public and law enforcement officers in an emergency.

Key compensation and job highlights:

  • $4,000 – $6,233 per month plus benefits, CalPERS Safety retirement, and pay differentials.
  • Dispatch field units, monitor emergency communication systems, respond to calls for service, log incidents, assist the public, and provide protection to State Park Peace Officer Rangers and Lifeguards.
