The City of Willits is located at in the heart of Mendocino County at the edge of one of California’s largest redwood forests, Willits provides incomparable access to the beauty of northern California. 

The Willits Police Department is a full-service law enforcement agency comprised of 12 sworn members and nine professional employees. Critical tasks for the incoming Police Chief will be recruitment, training, and mentoring their staff at all levels.
