On May 7, PORAC convened at the State Capitol for its annual Legislative Day. The event gave PORAC leaders the opportunity to have important conversations with congressional members about key bills of interest. During the event, PORAC discussed two of its high-priority sponsored bills, AB 2421 (PORAC’s Employer–Employee Relations bill) and AB 3241 (PORAC’s K-9 bill), as well as bills the Association actively opposes, including AB 2042, SB 50 and SB 94.
After a day filled with productive and engaging dialogue, a reception was held at Mix Downtown in Sacramento, providing a great opportunity for further discussion and networking. Once again, Legislative Day showcased PORAC’s commitment to advocating for policies that prioritize community well-being and the safety of our members.
