PORAC was thrilled to host Symposium — IMPACT 2022 at the Marriott Laguna Cliffs in Dana Point on March 30 and 31. Members who attended had the opportunity to meet with fellow members and PORAC legal and legislative advisors while learning about the latest issues facing law enforcement in California and across the nation. Presentation topics included leadership and crisis experiences and lessons learned, use of force and civil liability, operating in the digital age of cellphones and personal privacy, emotional and mental health tips and insights, and much more. In addition, members heard from two guest speakers, Lieutenant Colonel Robert Darling, who recounted his experiences inside the White House bunker on September 11, 2001, and Officer Jason Schechterle of the Phoenix Police Department (ret.), who shared his thrilling and uplifting story of survival and hope.
PORAC also sponsored an evening networking reception, where attendees enjoyed refreshments while reconnecting with familiar friends and getting to know new ones. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped to make the Symposium a success!
