Salary Range: $52,158 -$76,274, Annually

The ideal candidate will be passionate about protecting our natural environment and have the policing, peace officer status and good communication skills necessary to do so. The primary duties of an LA City Park Ranger are to protect and supervise outdoor areas of dedicated parkland owned and operated by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Recreation and Parks. Park Rangers patrol their assigned areas and make sure that park visitors are following appropriate rules and regulations to ensure they do not disrupt the natural environment or the enjoyment of the park by fellow guests. Park Rangers are the City of Los Angeles’s first-line of defense against brush/ forest fires, environmental degradation, and the destruction of important natural habitats within the citywide park system. With your help and the professional skill set you have to offer, we can better manage and maintain our park system and its pristine natural spaces.
