Key salary and retirement highlights:

· SPPO Cadets earn $3,741-$5,045 per month in the academy. After graduating, they can earn up to $6,977 as Rangers or Lifeguards, plus differentials, benefits and retirement.
· California State Parks offers diverse opportunities for patrols, including K-9, off-highway vehicle, beach, boat and others.
