Brentwood PD is currently seeking motivated Police Officer Trainee candidates with basic knowledge of law enforcement, first aid and CPR, as well as great written and oral communication skills to attend a POST approved Police Academy for a period of approx. six months. Applicants must be at least 20 ½ years of age at the time of application, a U.S. citizen, possess a clean driving and criminal record and a H.S. diploma or equivalent. Total POST T-score of 50.0 or higher may be submitted in lieu of taking test. Closes 4pm, 4/17/15.

Investigator (Part-Time)

Salary: $33.78-$41.84 Hourly

FairfieldTo perform investigative work in support of the Investigations Unit within the Police Department. This is a 960 hour position; part-time investigators work an average of 20 hours per week. Work days typically consist of Tuesday and Wednesday. Possibility of call-outs and after hours work based on the needs of the department. Ability to work substantial periods of time while exposed to extreme weather conditions, irritants, and allergens.

Two (2) years investigative experience in a law enforcement environment is required. Experience limited to traffic, welfare fraud, probation, or private investigations will not be considered qualifying. Applicants with broad background in patrol will be considered for the position. Possession of a valid Class C California State Driver’s License is required. Possession of a valid Basic Peace Officer’s Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Certificate is required.
